RACINE - Jeffrey R. Lemke, 42, has gone Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Monday, October 3, 2005. Jeff was born in Zion, Ill. on November 18, 1962, to Rowland Lemke and Sandra (nee: Getman) Lemke. He lived most all of his life in Racine. He graduated from J.I. Case High School in 1980. A faithful Christian, Jeff was passionate about his country and his Lord. He often dreamt and prayed that our country would return to the Biblical principles on which it was founded. He was an avid and accomplished musician, especially on his guitar. As a young adult, he started the band known to many Racine locals as "Blind Ambition." He cherished the many times spent with fellow band members and was most happy when doing what he did best, playing music. By trade, Jeff was a self-employed Painter and Home Improvement Contractor. Above all, Jeff loved being in the surroundings of his family and friends! He will be missed immensely by the many lives he touched in his lifetime! Surviving are his mother, Sandra Lemke; brothers, Don Schildt of Racine and Jon Lemke of Sturtevant; sister, Kimberly Schildt of Racine; nephews, Jonathan and Justan Lemke; step-nieces, Stephany and Jenna Ricchio; special aunt and uncle, Nancy (Chet) Iglinski of Racine; cousins, Catherine (Mark Watkins) Getman, Craig (Tammy) Getman, Daniel (Becky) Getman, and Paul Getman; other special relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death by his uncles, Robert, James, and Ron (Sharon) Getman. Funeral services will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Road, on Saturday, October 8, 2005, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. and in the funeral home on Saturday from 9 until 10 a.m. For those who wish, memorials to Jeff's family would be appreciated.
