Michael R. Olsen “BIG MIKE” STURTEVANT – Michael R. Olsen, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. He was born in Racine on January 14, 1962, the son of Roger L. and Janet C. (nee: Schirmang) Olsen and graduated from JI Case High School in 1980. Michael worked as an automotive technician for CarMax in Kenosha for over 15 years. In addition to his love for working on cars, he enjoyed riding his Harley, watching the Packers, his travels to Hawaii and being in the company of his family. He is survived by his children, Michael J. (Lisa) Olsen of Sturtevant, Erica (David) Beranis, Rachael Olsen both of Racine, Peter Olsen of Sturtevant and Nicolas (Lori) Olsen of Oshkosh, WI; his grandchildren, Kyler and Kaylee Olsen, Eli, Isaac and Calvin Beranis; Brianna Uick, Caleb, Clara and Cohen Olsen; his parents, Roger and Janet Olsen of Mount Pleasant; as well as many dear cousins, extended family, co-workers and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his brother, David Olsen. Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday, January 14, 2016 (Michael’s birthday) at 7:00 p.m. for a service remembering and celebrating his life with John Fleming officiating. There will be a time to meet with his family from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family will establish a memorial in Michael’s name at a later date. Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home
